Army conducts shooting exercise in Ita-Ogbolu

The 32 Artillery Brigade, Owena Cantonment, Akure, has commenced its Range Classification Exercise at the Military Range in Ita-Ogbolu, Ondo State.
The exercise, which began on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, is scheduled to run until Friday, March 28, 2025.
It is aimed at enhancing the weapon-handling skills and operational readiness of military personnel.
In a statement issued by the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, Major Njoka Irabor, he urged residents, commuters, and farmers in the area to avoid the range throughout the period to ensure their safety.
He also advised the public not to panic upon hearing gunfire, as the exercise involves live ammunition drills and troop movements.
The army further called on the media and the public to spread the information, particularly in local languages, to ensure widespread awareness.
It expressed appreciation for the usual cooperation of residents and assured them that necessary safety measures had been put in place.
