Residents of Ago-Ireti, also known as the “Settlement of Hope,” have expressed appreciation to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa following his directive to clear all outstanding stipends owed to them.
The community also commended the governor for ordering an upward review of their monthly stipends.
Recently, Ago-Ireti residents had voiced concerns over the prolonged delay in stipend payments, a situation which caught the attention of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
In response, he promptly approved the release of all pending payments and directed a future increase in the monthly allowances.
Speaking with The Hope, Mr. Salau Adeyemi, spokesperson and secretary of Ago-Ireti, expressed relief and gratitude.
“We sincerely thank the Governor for listening to us. We stand firmly behind him and pray for his success in the coming election. We genuinely appreciate his support,” he said.
In a statement dated September 15, Allen Sowore, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Strategic Communication, affirmed the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and prioritising the welfare of all citizens.
