The Director of coaching in the Ondo State Sports Council, Mr Sunday Fagite has said coaches and athletes are in high spirit to do the state proud at the 21st National Sports Festival slated for Delta State.

He said the atmosphere in the camp was high with the state’s contingent ready to mount the podium for glory.

He said the athletes and their officials have resumed camp since on Monday, saying they are set for the national fiesta.

Fagite said this  year’s festival will be a departure form the last edition, because the state is ready to haul medals.

He said the athletes are well motivated with regular payment of their allowances, saying they also have ample of time to train unlike the coronavirus ravaged edition held in Edo State.

“I can tell you that we have a good preparation for the competition, with the atmosphere in the camp ,I’m convinced our athletes will make us proud”.

“We have best hands to impact modern tectonics to the athletes, that was why about four of our coaches are in the Commonwealth games held in Birmingham, united kingdom.”
