There was palpable tension during the weekend in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo state as a yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist was attacked by unknown assailants.

The incident which happened at Rainbow Junction in Ore, attracted sympathizers raising concerns about what could have led to the attack.

Eyewitnesses who spoke with our correspondent said the incident happened in the late hours of Saturday.

“The motorcyclist parked his motorcycle to do something before we know it, he was surrounded by some unknown assailants, they beat him to a stupor and took his motorcycle away.

“The swift intervention of passersby scared them away, while the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment”, he said.
