Barely four days to the House of Assembly election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State has started the distribution of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials across the 18 local government areas of the state.

The distribution took place at the Akure branch of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in the presence of representatives of parties’ agents and security personnel.

The INEC had rescheduled the conduct of the House of Assembly election to this week Saturday 9.

The state Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Rufus Akeju, said the early distribution of the materials was to ensure successful poll and avoid late arrival of materials.

He assured people of the state of the readiness of INEC to conduct peaceful, free, fair and credible election come Saturday March 9.

Akeju particularly commenced all the stakeholders for their unalloyed support which he said led to the success of the February 23 Presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.
