Ondo State Government has promised to ensure that the rich Savannah Forest of Auga in Akoko North East Local Government Area is explored for a world class cattle ranch that will generate employment and serve as a template in livestock production.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) made this known while playing host to the traditional ruler of Auga with his chiefs in his office in Akure.

The Governor said the ownership structure of the Auga Cattle Ranch will be by Public Private Partnership (PPP) and will attract multiplier investments in ranching value chain.

Akeredolu who used the opportunity to outline efforts of his administration in education, road construction and security assured that Ondo State would in no time become haven of investments and tourism.

While regretting the current paucity of funds, Arakunrin Akeredolu solicited the support and cooperation of citizens in a bid to jointly take the Sunshine State to greater heights.

The Monarch, Oba Samuel Agunloye had earlier commended the governor for the various life changing projects his administration embarked upon and delivered since inception.

He appealed for government’s assistance on some of the roads in his domain which the governor said would be undertaken by the Ondo State Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP).

Oba Agunloye also made case for the reconstruction of the Examination Hall of Auga Community Grammar School Auga that was destroyed by rainstorm which the governor addressed promptly.
