Badminton: Ondo to compete  for honour @ Lagos  Championship

Ondo State Badminton team will join other states from the South West to battle for honour at Lagos Badminton Open Championship.

The Lagos Badminton Championship is slated to kick off today at the indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos.

The championship will feature both male and Female singles and doubles, the competition is an open championship which has no age restriction with the aim of scouting for athletes that will represent Lagos state at the forthcoming Lagos State Badminton international Classics.

Ondo State will be represented at the championship by Adekunle Ajashin University (AAUA) Badminton Captain, Motuntunrayo Abiola, former National Youth games most valuable player, Timilehin Ologbosere, duo of 2020 National Youth games Gold medalists , Damilola Oyedepo and Tiamiyu Salawat including 2020 youth games bronze medalist ,Aina Ayomide.

The state Bandminton Coach, Tunmise Olalehin in a chat with Sporting Hope expressed optimism that the athletes will do the state proud at the championship.

He solicited for more support from the entire people of the state.
