Basic Health Care Provision Fund underway – ODSG

Plans are underway to begin the commencement of the Basis Health Care Provision Fund programme in the state.
To this end, all the Primary Health Care (PHC) centres will be utilized for the programme.
General Manager, Ondo State Contributory Health Commission, Dr. Abiodun Oyenehin disclosed this while speaking with The Hope in Akure.
According to him, the 18 Local Government areas of the state will benefit from it, noting that efforts are in place to ensure that the facilities are fit to deliver qualitative health care to the people of the state.
He said that a “facility assessment has been carried out by the State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
“We will soon carry out accreditation exercise to ascertain their suitability to deliver quality services.
Speaking further, he explained that the commission was also putting in place measures to bring improvement to the Abiyamo Maternal and Child Health Insurance Scheme which has been set up to cater for the vulnerable in the state.
He said; ” the plan is to improve on it and create more awareness advocacy to ensure that more people enroll for the scheme.”
Oyenehin however hinted that the commission is currently working on the commencement of the scheme for Public Servants and those in the Informal and Organised private sector.
