Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has charged the 276 intending pilgrims to this year’s Hajj to be good ambassadors of the state and abide by the rules of their engagement at the Holy Land.
The governor who gave the charge while addressing the 276 Intending pilgrims in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said his government would support the pilgrims to ensure that they experience a successful exercise.
Akeredolu enjoined them to pray for the state and the Nation at large and expressed the hope that they would all return safely after their religious duties at the Holy land.
He particularly expressed joy that since his administration came on board, pilgrims from the state have always done well with no record of wrong doings in the Holy land, describing them as good ambassadors of the state.
The state contingent has since departed to Ilorin for onward airlift to the Holy land of Mecca.
