Night rest is a wonderful gift of nature to keep our bodies and souls healthy and makes us live longer on the earth.

In this new generation of social media, research has revealed that the number of hours people sleep at night has been drastically reduced and this has led to a lot of medical condition that people are battling with.

Great benefits of adequate night rest are as follows:

Adequate night rest boosts your immune system.  Sufficient hours of rest at night help your body soldiers to gather momentum for new dayactivities by invading the foreigners that may enter our body system.   A research has shown that those who slept than 7 hours per day were 3 times more likely to develop a cold than those who slept 8 hours or more.  To ensure that your immune system combat the cold flu, always get at least 8 hours of night sleep.

Adequate night sleep reduces the risk of bowel inflammation:  Sleep have effect on your body’s inflammatory responses.  Poor sleep is connected to inflammatory bowel disease.  So to prevent the inflammation of your digestive tract, get adequate sleep at night.  In fact, sleep loss is known to activate undesirable marker body cells damage and preventable inflammation.

Adequate sleep enhances social interactions and emotions:  Inadequate sleep at night reduces your ability to interact socially.  Many research work using emotional facial recognition test had revealed that people with lower numbers of hours of sleep had a reduced ability to recognize the expression of anger and happiness.  For the brain to process emotional information and recognize important social cues it must be given adequate sleep.

Adequate sleep at night enhances athletic skills and physical performance:  Adequate sleep has been shown to enhance physical and athletic performance.   A wide research in almost 3000 men revealed that poor sleep was linked to lower grip strength, slower walking and greater difficulty performing independent physical activities.

Inadequate night sleep is linked with cardiovascular and other related diseases:  Sleep quality and duration have a far reaching effect on low our hearth functions.  Research has revealed that poor sleepers at a far greater risk of heart disease which may result to high blood pressure or stroke.  In summary, it is very important to have enough rest on daily basis to avoid the health conditions that accompany inadequate sleep such as diabetes, depression, bowel inflammation, poor physical and athletic performance.  Sleep well and live well.
