’Bishop Ketiku, great warrior’

Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has described former Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ondo State chapter, late Bishop Joshua Ketiku, as a great warrior of Christ.
The governor spoke while paying a condolence visit to the wife of the late cleric, Rev. (Mrs) Odunayo Ketiku, on behalf of the government and the people of the state.
He said the state and entire christendom have lost a devoted man of God who truly knew and served the Prince of Peace till death.
The former CAN chairman and founder of Christlike Assembly died on April 17, 2019, at the age of 66.
According to the governor, Bishop Ketiku was not dead but only sleeping in the Lord.
He said the death of the respected Bishop was a great loss not only to his family but also to the state government and the christendom.
“He was not just a christian, he knew the Prince of Peace. He was in the forefront of spreading the gospel and made us to understand that believers never die but only sleep in the Lord. We shall all wake up in the glorious day when Christ shall come”, Akeredolu added.
He admonished the deceased’s wife to take solace in God, just as he prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Pastor Williams Olaoye, senior pastor from the Christlike Assembly appreciated the governor and his entourage for the visit.
Also on the entourage of the governor was his Chief of Staff, Olugbenga Ale and others.
