Contractors handling various road projects in Ondo state have been advised to brace up or have their contracts revoked.
The Special Adviser to the state Governor on Lands, Works and Infrastructure Engr. Raimi Aminu gave the advice in a meeting held with contractors and Consultants working on various road projects in the state.
Aminu said some contractors have impressed the State government with the job done so far while others have performed below expectations.
The SA who said virtually all contractors on sites have been paid, informed those who were yet to receive payment to raise their certificates for payment.
He urged Contractors who are not on site now to return to site noting that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) will soon embark on inspection of on going road projects in the state.
Engr Aminu also advised Consultants to ensure that they have standard offices in the state capital to avoid communication gap between the Ministry of Works and the Contractors.
Also speaking at meeting the Permanent Secretary ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engr Taiwo Otun urged Contractors, Consultants and Resident Engineers to work as a team to ensure success of the projects.
Speaking on behalf of the contractors and consultants, the Managing Director Dutmond Construction Company, Mr Pius Ayodele while appreciating Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for giving them the jobs promised that all Contractors will perform to expectations.
