The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure, Ondo State, yesterday, upheld the election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, describing the appeal against their emergence as lacking merit.

The appellate court, in a unanimous judgment delivered by a three-member panel led by Justice Oyebisi Omoleye, threw out the appeal filed by Olugbenga Edema, the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, governorship candidate, challenging the legitimacy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary that produced Aiyedatiwa and Adelami.
