Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission, ODIEC has rescheduled the local government election to July 15 against the February 17 earlier declared.

The Chairman, Dr Igbekele Aremo declared this during stakeholders meeting with political parties at its secretariat in Akure.

He said the commission did not cancel the election but rescheduled it because most of the political parties did not conform with the guidelines to be followed before the election can be conducted.
