Bricklayer docked over alleged stealing foodstuffs

A 27-year-old man, Omoniyi Rotimi has been arraigned  before a Magistrate Court sitting in Okitipupa over stealing of food items.

Omoniyi, a bricklayer who lives at No 3 Apata new site Okitipupa was said to have been caught around 02:45 hrs on the fateful day by the  onwers of the items while making attempt to gain entrance into the  apartment.

He was charged on two counts bothering on conspiracy and stealing though he pleaded not guilty of  the offence.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Omoyegha Oyedeji, the offences are punishable under Section 508 of the Criminal Code Cap 37,Vol 1 Law of Ondo state of Nigeria 2006.

The presiding magistrate, G. O Ogunfuyi granted the accused bail with two reputable sureties and the case was adjourned.
