Preparations are in top gear in Ondo State for tomorrow’s presidential campaign team of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which arrives in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

Expectedly, President Muhammadu Buhari will lead party big wigs and chieftains to the campaign venue, the M. K. O. Abiola Democracy Park in Akure.

Investigations by The Hope revealed that the venue is receiving last minute details and attention for sanitation and security.

Our correspondent who visited the venue saw women with brooms cleaning and mopping the seats in preparation for the very important guests expected at the event.

As at press time, several security vehicles and their personnel were noticed milling around the venue as part of the security measures to ensure a hitch-free visit by President Buhari.

The Hope correspondent learnt that all available hotels in Akure have been fully booked by the advanced team of the President and prominent members of the APC.

The presidential team which will also visit Ekiti State same day, is expected to arrive Akure at 12noon.

President Buhari and the team will earlier pay homage to traditional rulers across the state at the palace of Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi

The Presidential campaign team which had been received by mammoth crowd in all the 25 states visited earlier will use tomorrow’s opportunity to outline the achievements of the APC-led federal government in the last three and a half years.

Speaking with The Hope, State Coordinator, National Committee of Buhari Support Group, Mr Henry Kehinde-Bello, said the president will be accompanied by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and other APC chieftains, while the Ondo State Governor, and members of his Executive Council will be on hand to receive the President.

According to the coordinator, all lovers of good governance including Iyalaje/lyaloja, artisans, religious leaders, civil society organisations among others will also be on ground to receive the president.

“The unprecedented love for the president, he said will attract mammoth crowd, dignitaries, supporters and general public to the campaign rally.

The expected crowd will make the campaign rally unique from other political parties’ campaigns that had been held in the state.
