Burnt Agric warehouse ready soon – Aribo

Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Olayato Aribo, has assured that the ongoing renovation of Central Depot Warehouse, located in Oke Eda area of Akure, that was set ablaze by irate youths during the ENDSARS protest, would be completed soon.
This was contained in a statement signed by the press officer of the Ministry, Mr Sola Omoboyowa made available to the The Hope.
The commissioner said the warehouse was the largest in the State and was used to store fertilizers and other agrochemicals, owned by Agric Inputs Supply Agency (AISA), a component of the ministry.
Aribo, who expressed his satisfaction on the level of work done at the site expressed that all necessary materials needed for timely completion of the facility have been put in place.

He also reiterated his commitment towards improved internally generated revenue, through hard work and development of technology at control posts to monitor truck movement at the boarders, which he said would assist the government to know total number of trucks that made use of the state’s boarders.
He disclosed government’s plan to review tariff paid at the control posts saying that the fee is long overdue for review.
The Secretary of AISA Mrs Olufunke Ogunlade who took the commissioner round the damaged facility said structural test has been carried out by engineers and they are working assiduously to put them in place.
