Capital grant release ‘ll boost accreditation chances -UNIMED VC

The Vice Chancellor ,University of Medical Science (UNIMED)  Ondo, Prof. Friday Okonofua has commended Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for approving the release  of the 2018 capital grant to the university.

Okonofua gave the commendation in an interview with The Hope  at the university in Laje,  Ondo.

He noted that with the funds released by the government, the University Governing Council has approved the development of a Faculty of Allied Health Sciences building which will  enhance  the accreditation of the Nursing, Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences programmes scheduled for  between October  and November, 2019.

He added that the development of the building will commence soon.

The Vice Chancellor therefore, appealed to Mr Governor to also approve the release of the 2019 capital vote of the university to enable it  embark on more developmental projects which will  promote  the academic and research development programmes in the university.

 Okonofua appreciated the state government for  its support and  the overall development of the university.
