Career of PDP defectors to ZLP at risk  – Faboyede

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has said that the political careers of defected members of the party with the former Governor of the state, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko to Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) are in risk.

The State Chairman of PDP, Mr. Clement Faboyede, disclosed this while inaugurating members of the Campaign Committee for the party’s Central Senatorial Candidate, Mr. Ayo Akinyelure in  next year’s elections in Akure.

He explained that their political interests are in danger in the coming elections.

His words” Those who dumped PDP and followed former governor, Mimiko to Labour Party (LP), later to the ZLP, their political interests are in danger.

He pointed out that all is now set for the party as a former State Chairman of  PDP  Mr. Ebenezer Alabi, was appointed as  the Director- General (DG) of the campaign committee.

Faboyede, warned members of the committee to guide against any form of hate speeches or utterances that can set the district, the state and the country into chaos.

He further told them to see the responsibility as a call to service not as money making venture.

His words: “The campaign has to be made local because it must be door-to-door campaign across the six local governments in the district and not a child play campaign”

He charged the DG, director general of the committee to be very strategic in his plan and conduct the campaign in evangelical manner by  meeting  appropriate persons in their  homes  to win their votes for the party and its candidates.

In his acceptance speech, Alabi assured the party members of the readiness of the committee to do everything humanly possible to ensure the party candidate emerged winner.

In his address, Akinyelure, thanked the party members for their support towards his ambition.
