The newly sworn in caretaker chairmen in the 18 local government council areas of Ondo state has been charged to make their impact felt positively in their respective locality.

Speaking at the inaugural meeting with the council chairmen, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Lola Fagbemi  reminded them that local government is the nearest government organ to people at the grassroot and deserves effective management.

The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the present administration at ensuring that effects of good governance touch on every community across the state.

The chairmen who spoke in turns thanked the governor and party leaders for the confidence reposed in them.

While pledging their unflinching support to the Akeredolu led government, the new chairmen assured that they will be prudent managers in their respective local government.

The chairmen maintained that salaries of primary school teachers and local government workers will not witness any delay under their tenure.

In his words after his nomination as chairman and spokesman for the chairmen, Mr. Alex 0ladimeji from Ifedore local government said his colleagues have resolved to give human face and quality service delivery to governance because they will follow the exemplary leadership displayed by the Governor.
