As preparations are in top gear for Sunshine Queens ahead of women championship playoffs in Ogun State, one of the senior players in the team, Oluwaseun Fakunle has urged his mates to brace up and grab the needed Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL)return ticket.
The former Trabonspor FC of Turkey and Oberytus FC Beirut Lebanon said she believes in the current players, saying they have what it take to return the club to the Nigeria elite women league.
The easy going and experienced striker who re-united with Sunshine Queens in February after spending few years in Europe expressed confidence in the team coaching crew, commended the crew for their training programs.
Fakunle in a chat with newsmen in Ijebu- Ode disclosed that they have trained very well to emerge victorious in the championship playoffs scheduled to kick off on Saturday.
She added that with the quality of players in the team, coupled with the physical and tactical training impacted on us by our coaches, i’m confident that we will return to the elite league.
According to her, I have been talking to the players individually and as a group on how important this competition is to us, I’m reiterating it openly to the players again that we must all come together as a team and return Sunshine Queens to her rightful place in the Nigeria Women Football League.
“We have trained very well, all we need now is to bring out the best in us and win in all our matches, with level of our preparation we are not supposed to draw any team.”
