Chief Adanigbo Oloye passes on

The head of Eduma Adanigbo in Owo, headquarters of Owo Local Government of Ondo State has passed on.
Chief Adanigbo Oloye died at the age of 103 years.
Until his death, he was one of the Adanigbos of Iloro Quarter and instrumental to the traditional installation and passage of a new Olowo.
He trained as a bicycle repairer but later joined the services of Western State Water Corporation and worked in various places like Owo, Akoko, Idogun and Afo in the present Ose local government area of Ondo State and rose to the position of a supervisor before he retired to go back to his farming business.
Popularly called Adanigbo Olojumeta, Chief Adanigbo, as an Iloro man, passed through all the ladders of Ugbama Iloro as a blacksmith ( agbede) and graduated as Olori Ugbama during Ero festival in 1984 .
As an Adanigbo, he is to be accorded the Oyingbo traditional burial rite which no other person or dignitary in Owo, except an Olowo is entitled to during passage rites.
Funeral rites has since begun.
