‘Children, pillars of Nigerian future’

Parents and guardians have been enjoined to ensure adequate care for their children in order to become a force to reckon with in the society.
Osun Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Mr Nathaniel Agunbiade gave the advice while felicitating with children in the state on the occasion of 2020 Children’s Day celebration.
Agunbiade while describing children as the pillars of the Nigerian future stressed the sad growing rate of infant mortality in Nigeria as a whole in which Osun is not left out.
He applauded Osun State government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola for taking healthcare services, especially for children under the age of five a priority.
He also expressed regret that Nigerian children have in recent times become objects of sexual harassment and exploitation, forced labour, street trading and other forms of unpalatable treatments.
Agunbiade acknowledged Governor Oyetola for making education accessible to the children in the state
He expressed commitment to use his presence to promote the welfare of children all over the state.
