Children’s day: Brighter future awaits Ekiti children, says Oyebanji

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated children in the state as they celebrated this year’s Children’s Day.
Oyebanji stated that his administration values children and remains committed to investing in their human capital development, ensuring they are well-positioned to become leaders and trailblazers across various fields.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the governor described children as special gifts from God who must be properly nurtured for society to benefit from their God given potential.
Assuring that a brighter and more rewarding future awaits Ekiti children, the governor emphasised the need for collaboration among the government, private sector, families, corporate bodies, and religious organisations to invest in the future of children for the overall betterment of society.
He noted that his administration has dedicated and continues to dedicate substantial resources to child care and development, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare delivery, safe learning environments, rights protection, and other forms of support that promote a higher standard of living.
Oyebanji highlighted that the state’s free education policy, provision of instructional materials, and top quality infrastructure in public schools are aimed at ensuring that every child has access to quality education.
Furthermore, he stated that his administration rigorously enforces constitutional and legal frameworks to protect children’s rights, making Ekiti State a model for upholding the dignity of children.
The governor called on parents, guardians, and teachers to work together with his administration to provide children with the platforms they need to achieve their dreams and become future leaders.
He congratulated the children of Ekiti for witnessing this year’s children’s day, noting that the occasion underscores the importance of creating the right environment for them to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the nation.
