Christians tasked on Christ’s virtues

Christians have been urged to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ as they celebrate Easter.
The Methodist Archbishop of Lagos mainland, Most Revd.Obafemi Adeleye stated this in a chat with The Hope.
According to him, the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for mankind in his death and resurrection cannot be overemphasised.
While emphasising that his sacrifice brought redemption to Christians, he said that the grace and mercy we enjoy today are products of the inestimable sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Adeleye stressed the need for Nigerians to use this period of Easter celebration to pray for the good of the country irrespective of religious affiliations.
The cleric equally enjoined people to pray for the leaders to direct the affairs of the country well in the interest of the masses.
He averred that the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ should be seen as a reflective period on the significance of his sacrifice to the world.
Calling on everyone to collectively imbibe the spirit of love, unity and peace, he expressed optimism that Nigeria will overcome all her challenges.
The Archbishop who congratulated Christians on the celebration, posited that they should reflect on the virtues of Jesus Christ towards promoting and strengthening the foundation of love, peace and harmony.
