The Chief Imam of Arigidi Akoko, Sheikh Jimoh Balogun, has described security as a divine gift and exclusive property of Almighty Allah, given for the protection and peace of His people.
Speaking with The Hope, the cleric commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing new service chiefs and praised the National Assembly for swiftly confirming their appointments, describing the move as timely and necessary.
Sheikh Balogun urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the President and his administration, noting that divine guidance and public support are vital for the success of government policies.
He said the nation would make greater progress if citizens consistently prayed for their leaders rather than criticising them without offering spiritual or moral support.
The Chief Imam also called on the newly appointed service chiefs to demonstrate total loyalty to the country and to discharge their duties with integrity and dedication.
According to him, loyalty, discipline, and fear of God are essential virtues for anyone entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding lives and maintaining national security.
Sheikh Balogun concluded by urging Nigerians to embrace unity and patience, stressing that lasting peace and prosperity can only be achieved through collective faith and cooperation.
