The Vice Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, Coach Dimeji Abimbola, has reaffirmed his commitment to the continued growth and development of grassroots football across the state.

Coach Abimbola made this declaration shortly after returning from Germany, where he successfully completed a Football Management and Match Preparation Analysis course at Sportverein 19 Straelen E.V.

He said the experience gained during the intensive training, would be channeled towards Sports development and improving football structures in the state with reasonable investments at the grassroots.

“My goal is to ensure that our young talents in Ondo State are exposed to modern football methods and given proper guidance to advance their careers,” he stated. “Grassroots football remains the bedrock of the game, and that’s where our focus will continue to be.”

Abimbola expressed appreciation to the State Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for his unwavering support towards sports development in the state.

He noted that the governor’s investment and encouragement have created a positive environment for football to thrive, stressing that such leadership commitment is crucial to achieving sustained sporting success.

While commending the Ondo State Football Association led by Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi for its progressive initiatives, Abimbola pledged to continue working with all stakeholders to raise the standard of football administration and talent discovery in the state.

Abimbola later appreciated the Ondo State-born founder of X-Sports Torch founder, Olaolu Adedayo.
