A nutritionist, Mrs Fatima Musa has described coconut as a great energy source and booster for men’s sexual health.
Musa stated this in an interview with The Hope, saying coconut is a libido booster, adding that the use of coconut water improves men’s sexual performance.
According to her, coconut water contains several minerals important for men’s sexual health, including potassium and magnesium.
She said coconut water has the potential to reduce cholesterol levels and improve heart health, noting that anything that can improve the health of the heart, will also increase blood flow to the sex organs. This she said will help to ensure the ability to achieve sexual arousal and orgasm.
The nutritionist added that coconut meat combat heart problems, diabetes, high cholesterol along with other diseases, saying it contains antioxidants to fight free radicals in the body.
She noted that a low level of potassium causes imbalances in electrolytes and leads to high blood pressure which can result in erectile dysfunction.
The nutritionist, therefore, urged people with erectile dysfunction to avoid foods that are high in sugar and fat as these can be the major cause of their problem.
Musa added that eggs help in balancing hormone levels in the system and fights stress as it contains Vitamins B5 and B6 in abundance.
According to her, garlic contains allicin, a compound that increases blood flow to the sexual organs, adding that garlic is very powerful only when it is taken regularly for about a month to reap its remarkable benefits.
The nutritionist said men who suffer from erectile dysfunction may benefit from drinking watermelon juice to improve blood flow to the sexual organ without any side effects.
She added that a meal of unripe plantain with local spices like cloves, onions, garlic and ginger will be an answer to erectile dysfunction, low sperm count, ulcer, kidney problem, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
