The Jegun of Idepe Okitipupa, in Okitipupa local government, Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye has attributed his success on the throne to a collective effort he earned from his wards.
Adetoye disclosed this in his palace while speaking with The Hope in Okitipupa on his achievements in the last 20 years on the throne.
He said through collective efforts, they have been able to establish new schools, renovated existing educational institutions and implement programmes to enhance learning.
He said his commitment to education has empowered youths and prepared them for a brighter future.
The traditional ruler said: “We focused on improving education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic opportunities for all.
“Our commitment to these areas have resulted in significant advancement and positive impacts on the lives of our people.”
Speaking on healthcare, he noted that he has worked tirelessly in conjunction with relevant stakeholders to improve access to quality medical services.
In the last two decades, “we have witnessed significant improvement in infrastructural development, ensuring that roads, bridges, and public facilities meet the needs of our growing population. These improvements have not only enhanced connectivity but have also attracted investment and created jobs for our people.
“Our focus on economic development has yielded fruitful results. We have supported local businesses, encouraged entrepreneurship, and fostered a favorable environment for investment. As a result, our local economy has thrived, providing sustainable livelihoods and economic stability for our residents.
He, therefore, appreciated God and everyone for their support, “because none of the achievements would have been possible without you”.
He admonished all residents to look into the future with hope and optimism.
“By the grace of God, Idepe Okitipupa shall have a befitting ultra modern palace that will be pride of the kingdom.
