Come up with innovative ideas, Agagu urges ZEOs

The Zonal and Area Education Officers in Ondo state have been charged to braze up and come up with innovative ideas that could improve the standard of education in the state ahead of next school resumption.
The state Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr Femi Agagu made this known during an interactive meeting with the education officers.
He said the sector is very critical and should be prioritised ,adding that as a peculiar sector, it would be confronted with peculiar challenges that must be surmounted in a peculiar way.
Agagu posited that government has not canceled Quality Assurance Agency but was merged with the ministry to streamline the quality of education in the state.
According to him:”Government is expecting us to do what Quality Assurance Agency was doing because it has not been canceled but must be improved upon so that the sector can be enhanced”.
Agagu said though,there are some obvious logistics problem which will be attended to by the governor very soon.
Earlier, in his address, the Permanent Secretary, Rev Akin Asaniyan said they will have to adopt new development which will usher in good innovations into the sector.
He posited that the meeting has helped them to strategised on the plans for the next session and how to forge ahead.
“We have to work round the clock to make sure we get to standard through effective monitor and supervision and all other means that can enhance quality delivery.
Speaking on behalf of the officers, the ZEO for Owo Local Government Area,Mr Balogun Kolade who said they are all lovers of quality job and assured that they will all do what is expected of them.
He enumerated some logistic problems that needed to be attended to, to be able to achieve success in the sector.
