Popular comedian, Oluwatosin Ologun, widely known as Paspe, has revealed that his strong belief in God and unwavering passion for comedy played a major role in his rise to stardom in the entertainment industry.

He also said comedy has really inspired him to show keen interest in the movie industry, adding that some comedians and skit makers like Ijoba Lande and Macaroni are making the waves in acting.

In an exclusive interview with Weekend Extravaganza, Ondo-born Paspe shared that his creativity is deeply rooted in his faith, describing himself as a devout Christian.

According to him, his comedy lines are inspired by divine revelations.

“I am committed to praying, fasting and working for God. My jokes come straight from Heaven, and this rare gift has helped me gain massive followers on social media,” he said.

He further explained that he does not prepare his scripts in advance but allows inspiration to flow naturally after spending time praying.

“Whenever I step into the house of God, I clear my mind and focus on seeking divine guidance. Afterward, ideas start coming to me effortlessly,” he added.

Despite his growing success, Paspe admitted that financial challenges have been a major obstacle in his career.

“I have released several comedy skits that have gone viral in the past, and even top comedians like Woli Agba have reacted to them. However, lack of funds sometimes limits my creativity,” he stated.

He recalled facing criticism when he started, with some people mocking him and doubting his potential.

However, through hard work and determination, he has continued to gain recognition.

“I thank God that through hard work I have been able to gain recognition and my comedies too gained traction,” he said.
