As part of events to celebrate this year’s World Communication’s day, the Catholic Media Practitioners of Nigeria (CAMPAN), Ondo State chapter paid a courtesy visit to the management of Owena Press Limited.
The team led by the Director for Social Communication, Catholic Diocese of Ondo, Rev Fr. Augustine Ikwu, had in attendance Mr Sunday Ajongbolo, Mrs. Shade Adewale, Mr Peter Dada and other members of the association.
Speaking on the purpose of the visit, Rev Fr. Ikwu hinted that CAMPAN was on a familiarization tour to media houses in the state.
“This visit is part of events to mark this year’s World Communication’s day. We are here to familiarize ourselves with this establishment and other media organizations in the state and to seek their support for our activities.
“We also use this medium to invite you to the grand finale of this year’s celebration coming up on May 21 and to as well solicit that you help us give it a wide coverage.
“This is the little we can do to promote evangelism in this end time.”
In his reaction, the Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, Owena Press Limited, Sir Ademola Adetula while appreciating CAMPAN for the visit, gave the assurance of his full support and coverage of the annual event.
Adetula solicited for the support of the church through subscription to the newspaper on regular basis.
