Residents of Oke – Ayo, in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State have commended the zeal and pace at which the present administration led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has been handling developmental projects across the state.
The people, who spoke through their Chairman, Mr Olusola Abiodun, lauded the various road projects and tarring of access roads of rural areas embarked upon by Arakunrin Akeredolu’s administration .
The community, comprising of Ore-Meji, Abdullah and Oke-Ayo with a large population of about 10,000 people, however urged the government to remember them also, in this wind of development that is blowing across the state.
The Chairman said the commitment and zeal of the Governor in opening up the rural roads is no doubt a better way for the citizenry to enjoy the dividends of democracy and provide social amenities.
He said the problem of road in the area has worsen to the extent that the inhabitants of the area can no longer drive their cars.
Olusola noted that the little maintenance of the road in the recent past was carried out by the community, adding that there is little they could do, due to paucity of funds.
“We have seen and heard what this administration is doing in developing rural areas by linking one community to the other through grading of rural roads”, he stated.
He pleaded with the new caretaker Chairman of Ondo West Local Government Area. Akinsulire Ebenezer Ayodeji to come to their aid.
