Members of staff of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology OAUSTECH, Okitipupa have been enjoined to cooperate with the management of the institution to ensure hitch free academic session as lectures commenced fully in the school.
Making the appeal in his office when The Hope reporter visited the school, the institution’s Registrar, Mr Ganiu Saliu said 2019/ 2020 session was overstretched to 21months as a result of the outbreak of COVID 19, staff industrial strike and students unrest.
The Registrar who noted that the new session will run for nine months, urged students to ensure payment of their tuition and other fees online on the school portal and show evidence of payment for their registration for them to have access to lectures.
“We have resumed for 2020/2021 academic session since two weeks ago, but lectures are just starting. We intend to run the session for nine months and have sought for cooperation of staff members to make it hitch free.
“Students should go and pay their tuition and other fees and show evidence of payment which will guarantee their access to lectures”, he said.
He also urged students to do away with rumour mongering which according to him can cause unrest, thereby elongate the session.
