Corps Members charged on creativity

Ondo State government during the week charged  Corps Members serving in the state to be creative.

The Chairman of the Governing Board of NYSC and Commissioner for Youth  and Sports Development, Mr Saka Yusuf Ogunleye gave the charge during his  sensitisation tour of the NYSC Secretariat in the state .

He said  youth corps members should not wait till the end of their service year before thinking of what to do, noting that it is the right time for them to start conceiving an idea of what they can do that will integrate them into the society after their service.

Ogunleye encouraged them to be enterprising, adding that they can be self reliant and employer of labour after their service year, if they know what they are doing .

He therefore admonished them to be security conscious and always at  peace with their host communities, saying their security and welfare are of optimum importance to the government.

Earlier in her opening remarks, the State coordinator of NYSC ,Mrs Grace Akpabio appreciated the corps members for  organising  themselves despite the short notice given them .

She advised them to start putting on their thinking cap and start thinking of a laudable projects they can embark on that will distinguish among their peers .

She emphasized  the need  to enroll in any vocational skills that will single them out in future, because the white collar job is no more there.

The representatives of the corps members from the two local governments  appreciated the state government for deeming it fit to embark on the sensitisation.
