Council appoints Ikuejube Adeyemi Acting Provost

The Governing Council, Adeyemi College of Education Ondo, has appointed the erstwhile Deputy Provost of the Institution, Dr Ajigbade Ikuejube as Acting Provost.

His appointment was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Registrar of the College, Mrs. Olufisayo Olukemi Fakorede.

The statement read in part ” The Council at its emergency meeting of Monday 7th November 2022 considered and noted the end of the first tenure of the College Provost, Dr S.A Akintunde.

”The Council has therefore appointed Dr Ajigbade Ikuejube as the Acting Provost with effect from Monday 7th November 2022”.

Ikuejube assumed duty in the College on 1st September 1994 and rose to the position of Chief lecturer on 1st October 2010.

The Acting Provost has held various positions in the College, which include Vice Dean, of the School of Arts and Social Sciences (2010-2012); Dean, of the School of Arts and Social Sciences (2014-2016); Dean, of the School of Degree Studies (2016-2019); Member Postgraduate Studies and Research Committee (2009-2010) as well as Students Disciplinary Committee (2010-2012) and Chairman Committee of Deans and Directors (2014-2016).

Ikuejube was first appointed as Deputy Provost for two years between 29th August 2019 and 28th August 2021 and later reappointed for a second term between 29th August 2021 and Sunday, 6th November 2022.

Ikuejube has to his credits 70 Publications in reputable local and international journals.
