Council boss leads sanitation exercise in Ose, enforces movement restrictions

The chairman of Ose Local Government area of Ondo State, Mr. Kolapo Ojo, on Saturday spearheaded the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the area, ensuring strict restriction of human and vehicular movement during the exercise.
Security personnel, including the police and Civil Defense Corps, were deployed to ensure compliance with the directive.
Speaking during the exercise, Ojo underscored the critical role of environmental hygiene in preventing disease outbreaks and safeguarding public health.
He reiterated that defaulters of sanitation laws would face penalties as part of the government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment.
Commending the communities for their cooperation, Ojo assured that sanitation efforts would be intensified beyond the monthly exercise.
He urged residents to embrace cleanliness as a daily habit to promote a healthier and more sustainable environment.
The Hope reports that community members actively took part in the clean up, sweeping streets, clearing drainage channels, and properly disposing of waste.
Also, task force officials patrolled the area to monitor compliance, educate residents on proper waste disposal, and enforce sanitation regulations.
