Council boss vows support for Police school in Isua-Akoko

The Chairman of Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State, Engr. Omolehin Jude Ayegbo, has pledged the support of his administration towards the development of the Police Secondary School, Isua-Akoko, just as he expressed delight over the growth recorded by the institution since its establishment.

Ayegbo made the pledge while receiving the Commandant of the school, Superintendent of Police, Rindap Nanloh, who led members of his management team on a courtesy visit to the council secretariat on Tuesday.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Media and Public Communication, Comrade Ogedengbe Bamidele.

The Commandant, while briefing the council boss, said the school had admitted over 100 students since it opened its doors in January 2023, with plans to double the figure to over 200 by September 2025.

He appealed to the local government for support, noting that a conducive learning environment would further boost the performance of the students and enhance the school’s mission of instilling discipline and academic excellence.

According to Nanloh, “We are committed to building a model school that combines sound education with core values. We can’t do it alone. We need the support of the local government to provide infrastructure and facilities that will enable us to serve the students better.”

Responding, Ayegbo commended the Commandant and his team for their dedication and achievements within a short period. He assured them that the local government would partner with the school to strengthen the quality of education in the area.

“We will not turn our backs on a school that is clearly making efforts to shape the future of our children. Education is the foundation of development, and we are committed to supporting it,” the chairman said.
