Counterfeit products: ODSG moves to register agro dealers

In a bid to curb sales of fake  Agro chemicals for the improvement of  farming activities, Ondo state government has said that it will register all agro chemical dealers operating in the state.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The Commissioner of the ministry, Mr Olayato Aribo said the initiative will be implemented through the Agricultural Inputs Supply Agency (AISA) who will do proper monitoring and distribution of chemicals to farmers across the state.

The commissioner, who played host to the executive members of West Agro Inputs Dealer Association (WAIDA), Ondo state chapter in his office, reiterated his commitment towards improving the standard of living of people through the provision of enabling environment for Agriculture development and engaging the youths, women for economy enhancement.

Mr. Aribo warned against the use of adulterated chemicals on farms, as he pledged to protect the farmers for quality products.

He emphasized that the Agricultural Inputs Supply Agency (AISA) would continuously engage the manufacturers and dealers to ensure adequate supply and distribution of quality agrochemicals in the state.
