A grade B customary court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State has dissolved a three-year-old marriage, between a Pentecostal Pastor, Oni Muyiwa Adefemiwa and his wife Deaconess Adejoke Adefemiwa, over threat to life and lack of proper care.

The cleric was in one of the branches of Living Faith Church, aka (Winner’s Chapel), Ado-Ekiti branch

Adefemiwa, 30, a trader and resident of Idolofin Street, Ado-Ekiti, had approached the court through her Counsel, Iyanu Olumuagun, seeking for the divorce between her and her husband, over alledged provocation.

Other allegations levied against the cleric by his estranged wife are lack of respect for her and her family, lack of proper care for her and her family, no more love and threat to life.

The petitioner who was in the court in company of her friends and family including her aged mother, through her counsel, prayed the court to grant her the request, noting that her husband had in several occasions threatened to kill her, the development which she said had not given her rest of mind both in the house and in the church.

Adefemiwa, also through her counsel told the court her intention to invite witnesses on the matter, sighting several instances to support her claims. She therefore prayed the court to grant her request by dissolving the association, saying the move would grant her rest of mind.

The Counsel claimed that a three bedroom flat situated behind School of the Handicap, Ado-Ekiti built by the petitioner and Toyota Camry car allegedly seized by the cleric should be given back to her.
