COVID-19: ODHA counsels people on prevention

Ondo State House of Assembly has once again tasked people of the state to continue to comply with government directives on the prevention and control of COVID-19 to avert the second wave of the virus.
The Chairman, Adhoc committee on health, Dr. Abiodun Faleye said people have relaxed in adhering to the preventive measures slated by NCDC and government at all levels thus prompting a second wave of the scourge.
Dr. Faleye emphasied the need for people to adhere strictly to basic hygienic lifestyle which include washing of hands, applying hand sanitizer when necessary and maintaining physical and social distancing.
Also Speaking, the Deputy Speaker, Revd. Samuel Aderoboye commended government effort at combating COVID-19 in the state while charging residents to cooperate with govt in curbing the spread of the virus.
The Speaker, Bamidele Oleyelogun equally enjoined people to be responsible and cautious in taking their health seriously towards flattening the curve of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases in Ondo state.
He tasked the people to promptly report any case of COVID 19 to the nearest health facility.
The house also advised public and private institutions to provide the necessary preventive facilities for people to combat the virus and ensure strict adherence in the interest of all and sundry.
