COVID-19 unites us with our families —Sunday Abe

Sunshine Stars Captain, Sunday Abe has revealed that the forced COVID 19 break has afforded them the opportunity to spend good time with their families.

Coronavirus outbreak has forced all Sporting activities all over the World to unceremoniously break in the last few months, which Nigeria is not of exception.

Abe in a Telephone chat with Sporting Hope reiterated that the only thing they are enjoying during this break is having time with their family, which he said has strengthen the bond of their  marriage.

He noted that life without active football has not be easy amid the outbreak of  coronavirus which led to suspension of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

According to him, what we are doing during this forced break is personal training to keep ourselves  in shape ahead of possible resumption.

The Sunshine Stars skipper added that he was always in contact with his teammates by encouraging them to train alone and also keep to all the precaution measure against the deadly virus by staying at home and ensure  personal hygiene by watching of their hands frequently.

The former Nigeria under 20 player conceded that they are not comfortable with the position of Sunshine Stars on the  league table before it was halted due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic.

“After our last match, we called ourselves and agreed within ourselves to raise our game and ensure  we are not g losing any match at home again and ensure we pick points away from home. If the league is resume today we are ready to reclaim our place on the log.

“As the team Captain I have discussed with the management to do more to motivate the players so that the players can be on top of their game.

“On our side, we have decided to up our game ,because we have our names at the back of our jerseys , so we need to fight for our name, so that we won’t be part of players that will relegate the team.”
