Crown 74 tournament: Ijapo Ages, Elite FC, two others in semi final

Ijapo Ages Stars Football Club have defeated Right Hand FC 3-0 to ambush United Army in the semi final of the ongoing Crown 74 football tournament played at the Ijapo Housing field, Akure the state capital.
Sunshine Stars recuperating player, Michael Olalusi gave Ijapo Ages Stars FC the lead from a well taken outside the box strike, before Damilola Adekayero doubles the lead minutes later.
Right hands reactions were not enough to reduce the deficit before the centre referee signalled for the end of the first half.
The hostility continues in the second half with Ijapo Ages Stars dictating the pace of the game with beautiful exchange of passes from defence to the final third.
Femi Kolawole sealed the victory for Ijapo Ages having hit the target from Nosa Enabulele’s sumptuous pass to make it 3-0.
Ijapo Ages goalkeeper Ayomide Francis denied Right hands with a beautiful save that would have been a consolation goal for them few minutes to the end of the entertaining encounter.
United Army in the last match of the quarter finals came from 1-0 down to defeat Ifedore United 2-1.
While Elite FC had earlier put 4 past Shine FC in the first match of the quarter finals, before Saint FC dramatic victory over FJay Academy in the second match while trailing with a goal down.
Ijapo Ages Stars Coach, Adeola Adetomiwa commended his players for playing according to the game plan , saying there won’t be room for complacency.
Adetomiwa noted that all the teams in semi finals are good teams, adding that his side will approach the semi final with all seriousness and renewed energy.
He disclosed that he will be glad to see some of his injured players back to action when they face their opponents in the semi final.
