‘CSDP projects ’ll bring succour to Osun’

Citizens of the Osun state have been urged to see Community and Social Development Projects (CSDP) as part of dividends of democracy to bring succour to the people of the state.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural and Community  Affairs, Hon. Mumuni Adekunle gave the charge during an inspection tour to see the level of work done on some projects in Osogbo.

The Special Adviser described Governor Oyetola as a man of the people who is ready to bring dividends of democracy to the people in different forms, especially in the areas of Socioeconomic developments, health care delivery and education.

He appealed to vulnerable groups and schools with special needs that are benefiting from the counterpart fund provided by state government and CSDP to maximize the opportunity and utilized the projects well.

Adekunle stressed that the means by which the projects will be sustained must be paramount to the beneficiaries, saying this could be achieved through generating a revenue to maintain the facilities, especially groups with town hall and other equipments that can yield money

Responding, the management of Isokan blind vulnerable group in Osogbo applauded the governor for his support on the completion of their press centre building which is first of its kind in the South West.

Mr Joseph Oguniran who spoke on behalf of the group thanked the governor for wiping away their sorrows and putting smiles on their faces.

He stressed that the place will serve as a press Centre for Special needs schools in the state where they will have access to all text books, listening tape, recordings and other materials.

The group promised their loyalty and support for the present administration and pledged to utilize the centre effectively and generate revenue with the press centre.
