C’ttee rates UNIMEDTH high

The newly inaugurated Ondo Kingdom Healthcare Committee has rated the facilities at the Ondo State University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital high, saying they are of best global standard.
The committee headed by Prof Oluwafemi Kuti gave the pass mark during a familiarisation visit to the Medical Village complex of the Teaching Hospital yesterday.
The visit according to the Committee became imperative in order to collaborate with the hospital in the area of infrastructural developments and other basic needs.
Prof Kuti who commended the Akeredolu- led government in the state for its tremendous efforts at ensuring that the Teaching Hospital has a very good standard with world class healthcare facilities. However charged the teaching hospital management on adequate synergy among the three complexes of the hospital’s to ensure effective and efficient healthcare delivery to the people.
He equally tasked the management on adequate public awareness and sensitisation to improve patronage not only in critical medical cases but also outpatient services.
Kuti therefore pledged the continued support of Ondo kingdom for the growing tertiary healthcare facility to ensure its rapid development.
In his response, the Chief Medical Director of the teaching hospital, Dr. Oluwole Ige appreciated the move of the committee for its collaboration in ensuring that adequate health care services are delivered to the people.
He assured of his cooperation with the committee in moving the hospital forward and delivering qualitative healthcare services.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the Teaching hospital, Dr. Michael Gbala reiterated the readiness of the hospital to serve people better saying more professionals in different medical fields are on ground.
