Customer punches Barber to death over N1000

Police operatives from the Divisional Police Station in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State, have arrested a 34-year-old man, Taye Adeoye, for allegedly punching a barber, Olufemi Gbadebo, to death.
It was gathered that the suspect gave the deceased a punch which led to his death following an argument on a missing N1,000 in the barbing salon.
The deceased, who was the owner of the barbing saloon was said to have kept the N1,000 note on the barbing rack while he went to buy satchet water, leaving the suspect behind in his salon.
On getting to his shop, Gbadebo reportedly noticed that the money was missing on the rack, and he was said to have called the attention of the suspect .
The Hope Metro learnt that the barber pointed accusing finger at the suspect who was said to have denied stealing the money and went ahead to empty his pockets.
Police sources told our correspondent that the suspect angrily left the salon, after much pleadings that he did not take the money.
The deceased who was not convinced, was said to have gone after the suspect asking him to produce the missing money, insisting that he would not allow him go.
Consequently, it was learnt that the duo engaged in a fight, and the suspect reportedly gave the deceased a punch on the face, which made him fell down and died instantly.
Meanwhile, the suspect has been transferred to the state police headquarters, Igbatoro, Akure for further interrogation.
