A Christian cleric,  Apostle Peter Ogunmodede of Saint Moses Orimolade, Omuiyadun street,  Ilepa Ikare-Akoko, has cautioned politicians not to hide under the guise of religion, ethnicity and other unwholesome coloration to destroy the country.

Apostle Ogunmodede stated this during the church’s service on Sunday.

He said what should be the focus of everyone, politicians inclusive, is how to unite the people and make the country great again.

The cleric warned politicians to stay away from all acts, utterances and actions capable of setting the country on fire.

He urged Nigerians to always access politicians with their past records before voting for them rather being overwhelmed by financial inducement.

He appealed to those in government,   at all levels not to abandon governance for politics as people still expect much from them.

Ogunmodede urged Christians not to relent on their efforts on fervent prayer for Nigeria as we don’t have any other country than Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the cleric urged security agencies in Ondo State to reciprocate Governor  Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s  gestures and efforts in combating crimes in the state.
