‘Don’t disconnect from your source’

A talented gospel musician, Evangelist Florence Oyerinde popularly known as Oluwajoba, has urged her colleagues in the industry not to be disconnected from their source, stating that once they are disconnected, they would dry up.
She made this statement during her annual praise concert tagged, ‘He is God alone’ held at the CAC Ogudu Zonal Headquarters Ogudu-Ojota, Lagos State.
Florence while speaking with Friday Extravangaza, said battles could be won by praising God, not only through prayer and noted that when prayer failed, praises would never fail.
For the thousands of people who came from different parts of the world, it was the biblical dance of King David as no one held anything back in rendering dances of praise to the Lord.
Array of music ministers ministered. Florence made the stage an attraction with thousands of eyes permanently fixed on it.
“God has been faithful to me and my family, He stood by me, and showed me mercy. I cannot do without Him.
“I love music right from my childhood and I cannot do without music, It has been part of me.”
She revealed that she has been able to produce one album since she has been singing and appreciated God who made the programme a success and everyone that witnessed the occasion.
Florence mentioned some of her mentors to include Prophetess Doctor Bisi Alawuye Aluko and her husband Pastor Olasunkanmi Oyerinde, saying she don’t joke with them because they correct her and they are very close in talking to her.
She noted that her aim is to win more soul for Christ and to become a great artiste.
She noted that she received her inspiration directly from the Holy Spirit in anyway, “I love music naturally because my father sings and he also have personal keyboard that he plays at home although they did not go far like me but I think this are the source but my major interest is sing to God and make people give quality worship to God”.
Other guests at the concert include Prphetess Dr Bisi Alawiye Aluko, Pastor Titus Olasunkanmi Oyerinde, Rev Doctor Kehinde Olabamiji, Prophet Samuel Olaniyan and Evangelist Niyi Fadipe.
