‘Don’t heat up the polity’ Osun urges

Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola has appealed to the people of the state to eschew all forms of hate, inciting and provocative utterances capable of heating up the polity, ahead of the Saturday polls.
This is contained in a goodwill message by the governor to the people of the state as they await another general elections.
Oyetola tasked the people to conduct themselves in an orderly and lawful manner and display the best of Omoluabi traits at the polling centres.
He called on all eligible voters to enthusiastically come out to perform their civic responsibilities without any hindrance to elect credible and trustworthy representatives.
He expressed gladness that major political parties have already committed themselves to a peace pact ahead of the elections.
The governor implored political elites, traditional and religious leaders as well as youths to abide by the spirit of the pact.
The state helmsman, enjoined traditional rulers to play active role by promoting peaceful elections.
He implored the media as the watchdog of the society to live up to it’s professional responsibility.
