Motorcyclists in Osun State have been enjoined to shun crimes and desist from aiding kidnappers and ritualists in the state.

The state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, gave the admonition while addressing members of  the amalgamated body of Osun Commercial Okada Riders at a rally in Osogbo.

The rally was organised by the riders to celebrate the recent victory of the governor at the Supreme Court.

Oyetola urged them to prevent criminals from infiltrating their ranks, assuring them that his administration would protect their interests.

“I implore you to always abide by the rules and regulations. Do away with unscrupulous individuals among you who are fond of aiding kidnappers and ritualists.”

The governor said his administration remained committed to supporting all citizens by prioritising their welfare.

While commending the motorcyclists for the honour bestowed on him and the state, he reassured them of his commitment to building a state aspired to by all and that he  will not renege on the promises of taking care of people’s welfare.

In his remarks, Chairman of the association, Ismail Tiamiyu, said his members would continue to support the government in moving the state forward.

Tiamiyu said the rally was organised to identify with the governor and demonstrate the loyalty and commitment of the riders to his administration.
